Russian Agricultural Bank develops cooperation with the international payment system American Express

Russian Agricultural Bank (RusAg, the Bank) has started servicing American Express cards in the acquiring network and in the network of self-service devices. As of today, trade and service companies that are under acquiring service in the Bank can start accepting American Express cards, and also cash withdrawal operations are available to holders of such cards at the Bank’s ATMs.

“The cooperation between RusAg and the American Express payment system is aimed primarily at activating the flow of payments within the country, and will also contribute to the development of trade and economic relations, providing the settlement infrastructure for all American Express cardholders. Currently, the Bank’s acquiring network includes over 12,500 terminals in trade and service enterprises. In addition, RusAg owns a large fleet of ATMs located throughout the Russian Federation – 5,800 devices, which will provide an additional level of comfort for American Express cardholders”, Irina Zhachkina, First Deputy Chairman of the Board of RusAg, said.

The collaboration will provide a broader range of payment options for trade and service companies and American Express cardholders, and will expand American Express’s presence in Russia”, Vivi Galani, Vice President and General Manager of global network partnerships for the EMEA region of American Express, said.
