RusAg wins We Are Together international award

RusAg received We Are Together, an award that has been handed out in Russia since 2015 and was given this year under the auspices of UNESCO. 300 professional experts had to assess more than 25,000 applications on the basis of relevance, social significance and cohesion between the objectives of the contestants’ projects and of the award. RusAg won the Green Country nomination.
Award experts were impressed by a RusAg-developed solution that brings together more than 7,000 farmers from all over Russia on Svoe Rodnoe (A World of My Own) marketplace. It is a one-click app offering farmer products direct from farmers without extra charges. With a great number of participants, Svoe Rodnoe has grown into one of the world’s largest digital platforms offering local products.
‘We appreciate it that our digital solutions for agribusiness have now been recognised internationally. We have made our service very simple and intuitive: a farmer registers on the platform, adds his products to the catalogue and starts selling through a one-stop shop. If he doesn’t have a delivery service he can use the platform to have it done by a partner. If needed, he can use an acquiring functionality to be able to accept online payments. On the other end, a consumer – somebody like you and me – visits the website or downloads Svoe Rodnoe app, selects the farmer or finds the products he wants to buy in his area, adds them to the basket and places the order. Winning this award strengthens us in our belief that by developing a digital infrastructure for local agricultural producers we can help people develop an enduring habit for natural, fresh products,’ said Elena Baturova, Director of RusAg’s Centre for Fintech.
International award We Are Together aims to develop a culture of mutual assistance. It supports leaders of social change as well as initiatives designed to help people and improve the quality of life. The award is supported by the President of Russia.
